FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are your aides certified professionals?
Yes. Our employees are qualified paraprofessionals, who are trained at the Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) level or equivalent.
Screening
Our aides are extensively screened, beginning with an in-person interview. They must furnish multiple references. We verify their social security numbers, and we check for a criminal history record in over 400 databases. We verify that they have a good driving record.
How does Abbey Road find the right in-home caregiver for my family?
At the beginning of each assignment, we develop a comprehensive care plan, based on interviews with our client and the client's family and/or medical professionals. We then select an aide based on the specific medical and personality requirements of the client. We fully brief the aide and regularly monitor and direct his/her performance.
Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, and Stroke:
Many of our aides have special training and extensive experience in the care of these challenging times.
Do you provide free consultations before we decide on a home care professional?
Yes. We are happy to consult and provide information without charge at your home, over the phone or in the hospital.
